Lone Oak Vineyard – Santa Lucia Highlands Ocean breezes from the Monterey Bay cool this northern vineyard making it ideal for growing Burgundean varietals, specifically Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. The gentle slopes of this 146 acre vineyard face east catching the early morning sun.
Doctor’s Vineyard – Santa Lucia Highlands This is the youngest of the five vineyards of Hahn Winery. Its 243 acres just north of the winery are comprised of 11 different clones of Pinot Noir and 5 clones of Syrah.
Smith & Hook Vineyards – Santa Lucia Highlands Once a cattle ranch, this 253 acre vineyard is now home to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Malbec. The gently sloping hills of this portion of the Santa Lucia Highlands allow for excellent drainage. Eastern exposure and the location above the fog line allow for a longer growing season- essential for production of premium Pinot Noir.
Ste. Philippe Vineyard – Arroyo Seco This 290 acre vineyard, located on the valley floor in the Arroyo Seco Appellation, is a dry riverbed with sandy loam soils. Our Merlot excels here producing dark fruit and cherry flavors. Viogner and Syrah grapes also thrive here.
Ste. Nicholas Vineyard – Arroyo Seco
Planted in 1994, the eastern-facing slopes of the Ste. Nicholas Vineyard catch the morning sun in this cool-climate appellation. The unique soil combination of Lockwood Loam and Rincon Clay Loam is well-drained and rocky, challenging the vines to yield grapes of depth, character and intensity. The extended growing season allows the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay planted here to ripens slowly into well balanced and flavorful wines.
